So if you enjoy a good ass reaming it doesn't matter who does it.. But if you DON'T enjoy it (like you) then you are picky on who does it to you? Interesting.. I would have thought it to be the other way around.
CanuckCourage Wrote:Have you accepted that having your money wasted is a natural thing ?
Yep. (natural and unavoidable)
CanuckCourage Wrote:Is an ok thing ?
Nope.
CanuckCourage Wrote:Being screwed in the ass doesn't bother you ?
To be truthful on this matter, I don't know. I’ve never tried anal sex. I'm not too high on the idea but it would be ignorant of me to say I don't enjoy it having never tried it.
CanuckCourage Wrote:why fight for justice and what's right if it stresses you out ? That's part of the reason why Governments have their will so easily, inaction , lethargy. Who's conditioned you/us/people to be like this ? The Government ? Society ? Upbringing ? Or yourself ? If that money was food taken from your childs mouth would you care then ? Or would the stress be too much ? Why fight for anything ? Just lay down and be screwed , give up ... Well don't give up , keep working and paying taxes and not giving a shit how it's spent , this is the dream of the unscrupulous . Action and fighting for ones rights has achieved many things , what if women decided that "oh well who gives a f**k , we can't vote , why stress over it" what if African Americans had decided that being slaves was just an unfortunate part of being black . You may say these are not the same issues , but they are . If you want minimize this as mudslinging, go ahead , that's what it is , but it's also corruption at it's best . Pro Action and fighting for truth, integrity, human rights, etc has granted us the luxury we live in now , and inaction, resignation and apathy provide a breeding ground for current corruption. Is it simply part of human nature to acquire power and wealth that has us in the state we are today ? Or is it apathy and a refusal to act on conscience for the fear of disruption to our comfort and self luxury ? Surely the combination help to leave a precious few, controllers of the many . ( I choose not to dismiss it as merely a fact of life , we all have our own morals and standards and mine are not that of being of being a victim and accepting it as such , doesn't mean i'm not affected , just means I choose not to make it acceptable or just , or a part of being ruled by a government .) Now throw in societies expectations which we are fed from the time we can sit and play with a GI Joe doll or Barbie , to the lure of tv and the values it presents , obviously set by advertisers and those with corporate interest , we are told how we should look talk and walk , every facet of our being is exploited for money . Easy to control a population who's standards are set purely for self interest and gain . Pursuit of self indulgence is paramount , not compassion or concern for other peoples plights . This is the majority , the minority are the ones who force change contrary to the "Majority Rule" . Indeed The Majority are ruled .
OK , wen't off on a bit of a tangent , point is nothing is achieved without effort and sacrifice , this may be a story of relative insignificance but it is a symptom of our larger challenge as people and society . In my opinion .
Governments have become corrupt over time and at the level it is at now we as a people are fairly screwed. This conditioning has been brought about by countless efforts that have failed against the government. The president of the United States isn't even safe from his own government (JFK). Women's right to vote, African American’s right to be free citizens are both great historical examples of plights that have ended better than they started due to people standing up for what they believe in and what they believe to be morally correct. Unfortunately they have no relation to this current discussion. Although both discussions entail standing up for what you believe in, they are both completely different. Women's and African American's (or any race/gender/minority) rights are akin to basic human rights. A money conscience government is NOT a basic human right such as voting/freedom from slavery. The government as we know it is far to powerful to take on for issues like this. Minor changes that will show negligible results are all that will come of the countless hours and energy that is going to pour out for this cause. The government is tainted by greed, pure greed. Not the wholesome 'I want a better life for my kids than I had' type of greed, but pure greed where they will stop at no costs to attain it. The government, as you know, is not controlled solely by politicians. Major corporations/groups/etc have their hooks deeply planted into the heart of any government. JFK was opposed to war. Where did that get him? and he was the President.
When the issue you are standing up for is based on pure greed its best to save your energy and yes, roll over and accept it. You would NEVER see a company run with the same principles the government is run on. The CEO would be fired instantly if these shenanigans happened to a Corporate America company.
Pure greed is unstoppable. It is a sad part of human nature that cannot be destroyed. Only in a perfect world would there be no pure greed. Just for augments sake, lets say we went and removed every government official who was fueled by pure greed. Where would that get us? would we have a new/uncorrupted government? NO. They are only a part of the problem. You then need to remove all the pure greed mongers from all of civilization. This type of person is not solely the cause, these mongers come in all walks of life and all life off of each other. Fine the government is now pure greed free.. what about all the corporations/organizations that will now suffer due to the newly greed free government? do you think they will just roll over and take it up the ass? no, and unfortunately they have the money and they WILL see that no honest politician makes it anywhere.. And then we are back to stockpiling more greed fueled politicians into power. Waste is unavoidable. Get used to it. The sooner you do that the sooner you can turn your focus/time/energy and in essence your life onto matter in which you CAN force change through fighting. A super vague analogy would be to say that humans are like batteries.. they have a life expectancy and once its used up they are buried.. Stress is a great way to use up your fuel supply at a super high rate (and yes I speak from experience), Fighting for an uncorrupted government is a great and noble cause but its also a waste of valuable life energy. The only way the government and society would be free from pure greed is to change human nature. I think that’s a bit out of my scope!
CanuckCourage Wrote:keep working and paying taxes and not giving a shit how it's spent , this is the dream of the unscrupulous .
Here is a prime example of government greed. Taxes. They brought in to raise money for the war.. well last time I checked the was over but I'm still being subjected to this government cash cow. Many people think taxes are just a part of life. BULLSHIT. Its pure greed at work. They (government) keeps income taxes in places because its an easy source for money in the ever so large real life game of Monopoly. Lets take a step back and look at the province I live in. BC Canada. according to income tax laws I am required to pay roughly 50% of my income to tax prior to deductions. Then on top of that, damn near ANYTHING I buy is subject to PST (provincial sales tax) and GST (goods and services tax), when combined these reach 14%. So, first I give the government 50% of my money and then I have to give them another 14% for most purchases?
And yet, look around you.. On any given day how many people do you see drink alcohol? smoke a cigar/cigarette? drive a car or another mode of transportation that requires gasoline? These three products are probably the highest selling products in respect to money earned. And they are also probably the three highest taxed products. Back before the government started income taxes and before the sky high taxes on these three products countries were run and were stable. Once income taxes came into effect the government found and easy source for money. It’s the way corporate America works. I worked for a company that paid for an all expense paid trip for me to visit their office (I work from home), the only reason the trip happened was because "IF" the money in the travel budget was not used they would lose that extra funding next year. This is the way the government functions. If a certain city/province/state/whatever proves it can operate on a low cash flow the federal government reduces its funding for the next year. Because of this they all try to spend ever last penny and then some so they don't lose their next years funding. The government gives away more money than you could possibly believe. Go to your local library and check out a book on government grants.. See what they'll pay you for! THAT is where you tax dollars go. If you want to fight for fair spending fight in that type of arena. Battling the federal governments spending is not the place. Cuts won't happen. not in any substantial size anyway. They offer a few to shut people up but it will be monetarily negligible.
Governments waste money in every facet of politics. Targeting such aspects as grants and such is a far more attainable goal than trying to change the government/societies fascination with pure greed. Unfortunately its too powerful. When greed comes at any cost (ie. assassinating your own president) its best to just sit back and relax. You won't be don't anything other than stressing yourself out. And anyone with real stress experience will tell you its not worth the havoc that will be wreaked upon your body/mind.
All battles can be fought. Not all battles can be won. This one cannot. Greed will be an everlasting part of society. Remove greed (but how) and the problem will go away on its own.
Hmm.. I think I'm going to stop. I feel like I'm just going around in circles here..
p.s. how is that for going off on a tangent/rant?
