I hear the point that many of you are making. Some can't or don't want to be openly emotional at a concert. Just because you are not as intense as I am at a Hip show, or any other concert or event for that matter, doesn't mean you are enjoying it any less than me.

Listen to your Live Between Us CD recorded in Detroit. The fans cheer wildly not only between songs, but sometimes right in the middle of one after a great verse or guitar riff. It's what I'm accustomed to and I guess I'm spoiled.

Summiteer is right when he says you can miss cool things that happen by being too intense. I've experienced it and that is why I take short notes during shows. (But that can be distracting also).

Mats made a good point too. It serves no purpose to compare one group's reaction to another's. This was just something different that I was not used to.

I love the Hipbase community that I am part of. I hope my comments didn't offend anyone. I am going to many shows in the U.S. and Canada during the Hip's next tour. If you see a guy having more fun than you thought was humanly possible, it's probably me.
