That's my point though - in the salary cap era, why would you waste ANY money on a guy who you know can't produce. And I don't see how it is you could possibly think he's going to be "way" better this year (other than wishful thinking). His last three years:

I think they're gonna keep him because there is still something to be said about loyalty, intensity, perseverance and LEADERSHIP. Linden may not put up the same numbers he used to, but he's got a big voice in the locker room.

Oh yeah. The Nucks had great team "leadership" and "chemistry" last season. In fact, this led them to have the great, successful season they had. Oh wait, they missed the playoffs. :roll: :roll: :roll:
