This should be talked about because, if you look back, it is pretty much unprecedented that Hip setlists would be so close to being identical from night to night. Maybe in the early days with not as much material, but there's a dirth these days. The Darkest One hasn't been played since 2003 and Silver Jet since 2004 just to name a few forgotten great tunes...songs that can more than help carry a setlist.

I think it's alright to question these setlists. Especially if you bought tix to multiple shows based on past experiences where they were much more diversified. The OP mentions Phish. That's really an unfair comparison. They just dropped 99 different songs on their fans over 3 days and 7 sets at Super Ball IX. I'm a huge fan of both and I dig your style, but it's apples and oranges.

It's OK to expect more from The Hip.

But it is fustrating with the hip these days, feels like they are just mailing it in

Plus phish did play that secret set for an hour of noodling fun

Wish the hip would get back to their old ways, Gord needs to stop practicing his dancing moves and start working on singing and jamming with the band

Would love to start hearing the new album get mixed into current songs like how they used to do that back in the day

also what every happened to daredevil jam (when they used to jam it out before daredevil) do they still do this !

Also what new fans are the hip really bringing in right now? I am sure that their songs from the 80 and early 90 do not appeal to younger kids these days
