Glad the thread really took off. I find this stuff really interesting. Any examples of the band being intoduced under a different name? like in the videos for poets and music@work.

Gord gives names for the band members that are made up. "robby and johnny and billy and ricky".
and i read once (on the hip story project) about a show in europe where gord started the show by saying "we're the von trapp family".
these are probably more rare and more often than not only done in a small venue (who knows though). any others? keep the songs coming too. this is great.
