Currently you might get the speeds without the software, but with the changes that they are implementing, the software will become mandatory.

I don't like the sound of that...

My upload speeds have suffered over the past month or so. I was having intermittant disconnects...got ahold of tech support, and Bell made some changes on their end which has given me a stable connection, but my upload speeds have suffered by about 25%.

Edit: I should note that I haven't had their software installed in over a year.

i think those issues he mentions are only for 3web
from your post, it seems you have bell, right?
