Great effort! There's a couple of the 'coming soon' shows that I don't have so I look forward to those. :thumb: Thanks!

I only have the NYE/NYD shows in Lossy format...Boo!! Sorry I am no help there!
Chris: you mentioned something about a New York show when we were EuroHippin' it that was killer - please add that to the list when you have dealt with the most recent requests.

If it's not too much trouble can I request the Woodstock show be added to the queue whenever it's convenient please? My copy has always had skips and I've always meant to try and upgrade but lost track with Hipdom for awhile.
Sorry to hear about the temporary hiccup in the tracker. Thanks to all who help make it what it is...the best live community tracker in the world! :thumb:

Alright team... no more requests for this project as it looks like we'll have a version of the tracker back online this weekend.
The Hip Tracker 2 is currently tracking half a dozen torrents: <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thehiptracker.com/">www.thehiptracker.com/</a><!-- w -->.

I would love it if NYD 2000 went up. I also missed out on Toledo '98' and Bolton Valley '00' if it's possible to put them back up.
Thanks for your hard work.

Hi folks,
OK here's the issue I have with the 2000 NYD show from Toronto, that I would like to resolve before uploading to the tracker:
This is what I downloaded (I forget from where):
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8325/tth20000101tornotouu3.jpg">http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8325 ... otouu3.jpg</a><!-- m -->
As you can see, there are a lot of files displaying the ".shn" extension... I think they were named with 2 extensions (*.shn.wav) as the file type.
This only alters the icon (for me anyways) for thses files, but they still extract with shorten.
The one file that was named with only the .shn extension (008_The Tragically Hip - This Is The Bastard) has a different icon (the actual mkw icon) from the rest of the files.
Also, there's a couple of spelling mistakes that I do not want to change, otherwise the MD5 might fail.
Option 1: "TTH-2000-01-01-Tornoto, ON-ACC_SHN"
- upload everything intact as to how I found it, because the files extract perfectly OK, despite the spelling/formatting errors.
- keep the original fileset intact, for the sake of integrity.
Option 2: "TTH-2000-01-01-Toronto, ON-ACC_SHN v2.0"
Fix this before uploading to the tracker:
- extract to wav
- fix spelling mistakes
- rename the folder (to signify the change)
- re-encode to shn/flac
- create new checksums
So how should I upload this... as is, or a "fixed" version (v2.0)?
Your thoughts please.
Tom

I'm of the mind that it's up to you! And if I were you I would extract, rename with a standard theme, and then create a new checksum file (I prefer FLAC and ffp) and then create a brand new .torrent file.
Further to this, the site is not currently configured for users to add new torrents, so what we're doing is asking users to create the .torrent using the announce URL :http://www.thehiptracker.com/announce.php and then send me the .torrent file and the text file. I will add them manually to the database and then the user can seed away!
Thanks Tom.

For what it's worth, I'm with chris. If you have the time/inclination, decode the files, tidy them up and re-encode (FLAC preferably) them before uploading them to the tracker.
Either way though, I'd appreciate the upload! :thumb: Thanks for the effort.

Hi again,
Cool, so flac it is.
It seems that file 08-TheBastard.mkw is/was a mpeg file, at least that's what Winamp thinks...
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?image=08bastardmpeggh7.jpg">http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... peggh7.jpg</a><!-- m -->
It won't play that file at all, but the other ones are OK.
I managed to convert it to wav though with the rest of the files -- I'll get going on the rest soon,
As fas as renaming files and tyding up the stuff, I tried to make the least amount of changes possible, to respect the original poster's file set.
I would like to listen to these files to make sure it's all good before uploading them... (no nasty surprises)
I already noticed the tape starts with this weird editing error... I'll just mute it out on my home copy...
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.evilshare.com/b747770c-e07c-102a-a599-00a0c993e9d6">http://www.evilshare.com/b747770c-e07c- ... a0c993e9d6</a><!-- m --> (112 kB)
I added a 1-sec silence on this mp3 only, the new wav file is unedited.
Depending on if the Toronto Make Beliefs are winning or not Sat night, I could hope to up it then...?
...so for such a historic concert ("Happy New Millennium") ...there's only 1 source...?
I find it strange there aren't at least 3 or 4 different versions out there...
