Albums you've recently rediscovered

I have to say I got a pleasant surprise last week, I got a record player that rips records right onto my laptop to itunes. Well I was ripping C.C.R.s Green River record, There are 9 songs on there and 7 of them are on their 2 greatest hits records and its those that I usually listen to. So all these years later I decided to give the other 2 songs a listen. Wholly crap what a great find, One of the songs I LOVE, its called "Cross-tie Walker" I just love the idea of thinking you have heard every good song from a great old band only to find a gem that you have never heard before. So I have to say on this thread of recently re-discovered that I have discovered CCRs Green River record all over again as if its just been released.

Change of Heart- Steelteeth

I dusted this off this morning threw it on as I was having some breakfast. I forgot how freakin' heavy this album is. A relentless barrage of punk-rock riffage with some terrific melodies and funky bass work. I first saw them live opening for the Hip in 1995, and they rocked my socks off. I miss these guys.

An underrated gem. Brought back some of the rage and aggressiveness of their early 90s work, but with a new sense of melody and maturity in their songwriting. One of their best albums in my opinion.

Probably not everyone's cup of tea and rum, but I friggin love this album. Got into them through Ry Cooder and spun this thing endlessly a few years back.

How do you know when it's time for you to go
How can you stop when you don't know how to start
How can you go back when you don't know why you're here
How can you see when you eyes begin to fade
How will you hear when you've heard it all before
How do you do all the things you want to do
How much can you take when you've taken all you can
How can you act when you've never seen the script
How can you choose when you don't know which is right
How far can you go if you've been there before
How can you shine if you've never seen the sun
How does a child become a man without a child
How can you heal someone who doesn't want to heal

Legendary Edmonton band who started playing "alt-country" or "cow-punk" in the early 80s long before the likes of Uncle Tupelo and the Jayhawks made those terms famous. I remember seeing them live a few times in the 90s, and they never failed to put on a killer show. Great songwriters too. Recently they reunited for a few shows around Alberta (they're playing here in Calgary next week), and there's even talk of recording a new album.
