...it seems that every week I find myself rediscovering an awesome Hip tune that I've overlooked. I mean, they don't become my favourite(s), but I learn to appreciate them anymore. Am I the only one this happens too?

Two weeks ago, I rediscovered "Save The Planet".
Last week I couldn't get enough of "Bring It All Back".
And today, I caught myself listening to "Ouch" a whole lot... and I'm predicting that this coming week that will be the song. It's cool seeing a hip song in a new way for the first time.

happens all the time with me, and not just with the hip..check out my last post in the 'albums you've recently re-discovered' thread..the last hip tune that did that to me was emergency..i couldn't get enough of it for weeks..i played it all the time on my show as well...

The local Classic Rock DJ from Saint John is in jail now. Maybe they'll hire a 17 year old teenager with no radio experience to fill the void!

I feel the same way writing for the Entertainment section over the last couple of years. I'm the editor of the A&E section in the Argus, the Lakehead University student newspaper for next year. When filling out my press pass application for NXNE last night, I knew I had one of the best jobs out there. Also, it's the only thing keeping me in this hell hole. Sorry to you Northwestern Ontario lifers (affectionatly refered to as the other NWO), but after some of the events involving my education this year, this place just isn't for me.

Somewhat getting back to the topic, I'm listening to Everytime You Go, right now, from 9/30/1996. It's the first smile I've had on my face all day.

I don't understand why they left that on the DVD. It doesn't really show Hip fans in the most knowledgeable light but it's no big deal I guess. I mean, if you're a huge fan of the Hip you should know that "Phantom Power" is not the name of a song but to each their own. No fan is better than any other and all fans are equal so GOD BLESS HER. :lol:
