This was just listed on ebay. TATH may not be the best sounding Hip vinyl sonically speaking, but it is certainly the most rare studio release and doesn't turn up that often. The seller claims to be an audiophile, however much of the description of the item would suggest otherwise

"I am a strong analog audiophile"

"Upon listening, most of the vinyl is at least M-, with only the take-in grooves and first minute of each side being at least VG+++... which is normal on non-audiophile releases"

"I have avoided cleaning it on my Nitty Gritty vacuum record cleaning machine as some audiophiles have commented it removes a high-end edge from the recording"

This LP will probably sell for around $250, which is now the going rate for sealed or unplayed (2 most common conditions for this record). I'd be very hesitent to drop that much dough on a used copy where the vinyl has foggy blemishes and clicks/pops during the first minute on each side. The sellers claims these are pressing defects, not care or storage issues. My TATH was purchased sealed and the vinyl is shiny black with no blemishes and plays dead quiet from the run-in through the first songs on each side.

I should rename my ebay watch list to 'watch items skyrocket out of your price range'

Buying sealed makes no sense for me since I plan to put anything on the turntable the minute it arrives, so those auctions doesnt hurt as much

If anyone ever considers parting with their collections I have a loving home in Toronto (formerly Kingston) that would receive with open arms!

What's yer most prized possession? I'm always on the lookout for No Code.

I am came across this tiny record store in a small city in Japan that had sealed copies of LO2L, VS (Not the reissue) and Riot Act. All very moderately priced. I got weak in the knees.

Did you buy?

the lps im missing are: Binaural, Live on Two Legs, Rearviewmirror. The live Soldier Field vinyl has been repressed twice now, so I am waiting to get one of the cheap yellow vinyl presses as opposed to the impossible to find and afford green press. I had a benny hall, but sold it. Needed the money. I sold it for 700$.

My prized possession for Pearl Jam related records would be Original Dutch Pressing of TEN , signed by the band (matt cameron sig as drummer) and original Temple of the Dog vinyl. I've bought most of my stuff sealed and then rip into to it. I've probably opened three different Riot Acts and a couple Yields in my time, what with trades and stuff.

I picked this up most recently, its a bootleg, but its pretty good. Its nice to have a 1998 live show on vinyl. Its making the rounds in record stores, look for it: http://www.bobssoundadvice.com/pearljam ... -2xlp.aspx

Yea, of course!

I'm landing in Melbourne in a week or so, hoping the Aussie record stores are a goldmine...
