I missed an amazing opportunity. After the Charlottetown show I went to a friend's one year anniversary party. Because I once lived here, I knew a lot of people that were going to be at the party.
I had heard rumors that Matt Mayes was going to show at Baba's (I mentioned meeting Hipbase folk there) which was my hangout when I lived here. I didn't put much behind it.....I like Matt Mayes but didn't feel it was worth going there.
Little did I know that The Sam Roberts Band, Matt Mayes, and the Tragically Hip were ALL THERE!! If anyone knows Baba's there'd be no way you could miss them. The bar is very tiny and narrow.
Supposedly they started turning people away at the door at around 11 because it was so busy. But I know the manager quite well, and I'm sure he could have got me in.
Damn damn damn damn.......oh and DAMN!
