Derek Trucks Equipment Stolen - Please Help
#1

I've posted here before about Derek Trucks Band. Sent some Hipbaser's some DTB disks about a year ago. Anyway, just saw Derek with the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon in NYC (opened and closed the show with a Mountain Jam that rivals Fillmore East) and his wife, Susan Tadeschi came out and jammed with the band. It was my wife's birthday present, as we'd been seeing the ABB at the Beacon around her birthday on the 10th for the last 17 years...we were there in '89, and again in '92 for St. Patty's day in NYC. We'd also seen a show at the Beacon March run almost every year, up to 2000, including seeing Derek Trucks come out and play with Dickie Betts, Warren Haynes and Allan Woody (who was the bassest for Mule and who passed in 2000) when Derek was about 17. So the show was great on Friday, and I contend that Derek Trucks is one of the greatest Blues/Slide guitar players EVER, and apparently Eric Clapton thinks so as well, because just like Duane Allman was the slide guitar player that made him famous (All of Derek and the Dominos slide, including Layla, was Duane Allman), and Clapton knows Derek Trucks will bring him a whole new career when they play Europe together this summer.

Anyway, when we got home to read reviews, we found this out as well:

Don't you know its Roll up the Rim season? They are busy. When my car got stolen in Calgary I eventually found it on my own. Mule is probably just going everything he can to help. Cops, for the most part, suck.

The man will be looking for a trailor...license plates and such. Whomever lifted this stuff will try to unload it to...who else, musicians! Figure someone who appreciated good sound gear would look at that list and say "WOW!, that is some nice gear!" and it might stick in their head.

Figured it was worth a stab in the dark...the myriad people on this board from NA might deal in enough musical equipment that it just might jar their memory if they come across some of this stuff.

Thanks for taking the time to read and post.

Some good friends of mine were on tour in Vancouver and got their mics and guitars lifed from their car between gigs. Seems you have to keep a close eye on your sound gear these days...but hasn't that always been true?
