I think I'm most baffled by this girl thinking that allowing pictures was somehow a good idea.

I mean hey, if you are so desperate for attention that you feel the need to get naked with a bunch of guys at rez, that's one thing. But to allow pictures? How is that a good idea under any circumstances? Was she trying to get back at an ex-boyfriend? Is she unaware of the Internet and email? Or is she just incredibly stupid?

It should be, but generally speaking, it's not. Men and women are different. We guys get turned on by simply looking at or even thinking about women. I'm not saying women aren't attracted to the male form, I'm just saying that there is a much greater demand for these sorts of things among men. This is why objectification tends to be a one-way street. Sigh.

Most probably aren't at all concerned about the ramifications. Surely some are stupid (there arelots of dumbasses on college campuses), and some are probably too wasted to use discretion.

I was fortunate enough to have been invited into "the Zoo" a couple of times in the past....and lets just say, what happens in the Zoo stays in the Zoo, and Ill leave it at that. Those pics and the video are no big deal, happens all the time. Now I would have to dig it up off the net somewhere, but last year a porn company came to London and shot a Shane's World:College Invasion Porno at a house in London with a bunch of Western students, I saw clips of it on the net and those drunk guys should be way more ashamed than that girl was, they got drunk and banged some porn stars with no condoms, and this was right after that HIV scare in the porn industry, now that's stupid.

Well, I hesitate to broach the "culture" and "society" thing again, but I think it's a question of greater acceptability in using women's bodies to push product/seduce viewers or buyers. Even heterosexual women seem to prefer to see a woman's naked body to a man's. It's an odd thing, to be sure, but I imagine it's just a matter of conditioning.

Yeah, it could very well be due to conditioning...but it doesn't matter what the reason is, if it's true like you say that the female body is the one used as the "draw" in the consumer market, isn't that by essence "greater demand"?

I believe you, and I know that there are many like you. But i guess that for every one of you, there are two of us men....and probably another woman...who'd rather see the woman? I dunno. But can tell you one thing - the adult entertainment industry itself is big business, and I do think that men are a majority demographic of that market's consumer base...

Well, this really does beat the Dr. Broom incident here at McGill..ooh doctor broom, thank god there were no pictures of you...

I suppose this "scandal" has made people take their focus off of McGill, or forget that incident somewhat. But I think the "dr. broom" incident is MUCH worse then what happened at Western. Whereas a consenting female stripped for some guys in a private room, and pictures were circulated on the internet, at McGill a student (or students?) were sodomized with a broom. In this case the participants were unwilling and unconsenting, or were otherwise coerced, with the possibility of not making the team if they didnt participate.

The pictures are definitely embarassing for the girl, but they really have nothing to do with the school. And I am not arguing that the MCGill incident was school sanctioned, but there is a definite difference in the two incidents.

My two cents anyway.
