Great poll! I had a hard time choosing, but I went with Brown... seems like every second pitch he throws, his back goes out... and he gets $15+mil a year? Really?

Heard that Steinbrenner called out his team the other day. Took long enough... as Bill Simmons on ESPN Page 2 said (I'm paraphrasing) "The Boss finally woke up from his coma to rip the Yanks." It worked for exactly one night... tonight not even the Big Unit could help the authors of the GREATEST CHOKE IN SPORTS HISTORY get by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (!). Gotta love it! :thumb:

Man don't I know it (re: Kevin Brown). I've got him on my roto team. I made the mistake of trying to bid him up to get the Yankee fans to pay more, but apparently they loathe him since he crapped the bed during the GREATEST CHOKE IN SPORTS HISTORY. So now I'm stuck with him. Ugh. Ah well. At least I'm not signing his real cheques. :thumb:

a-rod is the most overpaid player in ball but the yankees are not responsible for his salary/contract (texas is) as well as Brown, the yanks did not sign that bum to that outragous contract (LA). Also Wrights and Pavano's contracts were a result of the Mets way overpaying of Kris Benson's contract this past winter . In short most of the yankees salaries were a result of the league's demand for these free agents and the homegrown players got rewarded for the 4 championships.

I voted for Brown being overpaid but actually there are plenty of players that the yanks overpaid for that are not on your list and the biggest being the QB for the Dallas Cowboys
