No more Heart of the Melt??

I've noticed from the last few setlists that they haven't been playing this tune at all, which is a damn shame. I love that song. Perhaps the band just doesn't like playing it.

definately upsetting! one of my favs. on IBE! I heard them play it at the small Modd club show in Toronto in which they played every new song. I thought it rocked!!

Maybe singing it is too hard on gord? could there be a technical reason behind it?

They can't play it every night - let's hope it returns for Austin!!!!!

I heard the Mod Club show radio broadcast and they really don't seem to hold it together all that well...I think it's too complex to play well live. Everything sounds like it's coming apart at the seams and Gord can't quite hold onto the rhythm. That said, I am not a fan of the song, rnot all that much anyway, so I can't say I'm sorry to see it go!

man, that was the only song that i really wanted to hear off of IBE that they didn't play when i saw them, the others left out of the set from IBE were Are We Family (great song but i dunno if it's really one i need to hear live, especially at a festival show), One Night, and INOIB.

Even if I'm not a big fan of the song, I was hoping to hear it live. I think it would be a great live song. Here's hoping they play it in Clifton Park.

I thought they did a great job of it on the Sympatico broadcast at the Mod.

I agree. They also did it at the Whiskey in Calgary and it blew the roof off the place. It's a fantastic live song.

In a word - no. Or rather, yes? Erm... well, as you can see by the Phl setlist or in the Troc review, Heart can and will be played. You just have to ask the right person a little in advance.

I just decided that this is the most "classic" song on IBE and it's now my current favorite, eclipsing nashville.

ECLIPSING Nashville?! Blaspheme!! Nashville is one of the greatest songs the Hip have ever done...

Big Grin At least it was your favourite and probably still ranks near the top!
