A Canadian television station is under investigation by the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission after airing evangelist Jimmy Swaggart's remarks threatening to kill gay people.

During a televised sermon Swaggart said: "I'm trying to find the correct name for it … this utter absolute, asinine, idiotic stupidity of men marrying men. … I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I'm gonna be blunt and plain; if one ever looks at me like that, I'm gonna kill him and tell God he died."

Swaggart added, "I'm not knocking the homosexuals. They need salvation just like anyone else. I'm knocking the politicians."

The program aired in both Canada and the United States last week

I read that in the paper a few weeks ago... apparently he was saying similar stuff back in the '80s... anyway, CFMT, or as it is in Ottawa, will be previewing every show he is involved in before airing it in Canada... really makes Don Cherry look like a Muppet with a five second delay when compared to this nut-job... the guy should be charged or something...

Jimmy Swaggart has been through more scandals and done more stupid things than Theoren Fleury. The fact that he still has followers just goes to show you how much these religious fanatics brainwash people...

While I certianly hope that's true (I know that I don't want *any* religion to accept those who hate others because of fear or misunderstanding), I'm not sure that "Fag Hater" was necessarily the most couth term. I'm not trying to be the PC police, but let's not be hurtful.
