i'm trying to watch some vids on my comp,but none of them are working..what do i need to do...these words are hurting my brain

1. what OS?
2. what kind of file?
3. what are you trying to play them in?

What program are you using? What is the error message? VLC Media Player is free and plays almost every format.

PS. love the new avatar. It reminds me of a seminar I went to in highschool that a local catholic church put on...it was all about satan in rock music. That photo is from the center of Led Zep IV (actual record), and if you hold it up at a right angle to a mirror the peak of the mountain forms the head of a dragon. The Hermit (a form satan used as a desguise) is also standing on a raock that looks like a dove (christ)...we love the seminar, it just made Zep, AC/DC, Ozzy, etc...all the cooler..

Just search google for divX codecs...you'll find a site detailing precisely what codec you need for any one of a dozen error messages. Try this:

If you can figure out what's wrong, IE what error message you're getting, it's really easy to figure out what codec you need to patch it...
