at the station i work at in kamloops, we just added it today as the 3rd single from IBE...sadly, it's edited though...no "fu*% this or fu*% that" sounds funny when it's "he said...this and....that..."..oh well...

Does the music play and then just drop the audio for the "fuck" like a radio edit? Or is it up to each individual station to bleep it in their own way if they wish?

i think it's up to each station..the music is still there, just no "fu*%" to me it sounds funny and obvious..but i think to the average radio listener they won't even notice..there have been some glaringly obvious edits in the past, including "fireworks..."..you said you didn't give a about hockey??" wrong...but we don't edit meridan, or lookin for a place... i don't know how the "suits" figure this stuff out, all i know is tom petty's "the last dj" is truer than you could imagine!!!

I just have to say, that I *@$%ing crank this song, this is my Nautical Disaster, from back in June of 94, day of release, drive home from the record store! This whole album has grown faster on me than I expected, IVL did as well. I think the Lads are aging well! On a side note, I have this feeling that the release date was the 13th, can anyone confirm this? It was my first release since I found the Hip just after the Fully Cd! It was released the same day of Stone Temple Pilots album "Purple", I picked them both up.

98.3 cifm "kamloops best rock"....to be honest with you, a really great station that mixes classic with new..and a station that allows me to run-down nickelback at any given opportunity(although i'm sure upper management hates it..)

sadly not online anymore..something to do with ruling from the crtc that MIGHT be coming down..not sure of all the legistics, but if it does happen we may get back fined..the CRTC is a scam...irishhipguy may have a better understanding about this new "law" that may be passed..something about listening to music online for free or some b.s. like that...we do have a website, but not streaming anymore....

Other than Hip albums, Purple by Stone Temple Pilots is one of my very favorite albums.

Opiated,

I am an old UCC student, and I used to listen to good ol 98.3 CIFM quite a bit. I won tickets to a few shows (Pluto, OLP) through your radio station and requested a truck load of songs. I loved it, in fact I miss it. It is easily the best radio station in the Interior of BC (Kelowna radio sucks). Is Cory Dedelli (sp?) still there? He was a good guy.

The only bad day I had with the CIFM was when they announced in the morning one day that they were going to play a new song by the tragically hip some time during the day. I skipped my ENTIRE day of classes to wait to hear it and ended up being Thugs about a year after DFN came out! Man was I pissed!

Other than that CIFM will always remain one of my favorite stations and if you guys ever get online let us hipbasers know...I would tune in steady.

Anyway, I miss the loops, hope all i well back there and keep up the good work at the best Radio station in BC!

hey man..thanks for the kind words about the station..sorry to hear about your thugs story..believe me..i wouldn't let that happen now!! we're still playing thugs, and actually we have more hip songs in the system than any other band...cory doesn't work here anymore, i never got to meet him ,but the stories live on..leo is still here..tara holmes..it's a great job, and there is always room for improvement, but on a whole a pretty great station..and you're right about kelowna..the rock station there needs some help big time....where u at now stickboy?
