Hi All,

I work for a television station in Canada, and just received a booking for a Universal Music/Tragically Hip CD Campaign that is to begin tomorrow and run until October 30th.

I would assume that this is actually for Secret Path, however these campaigns are usually booked quite specifically, so it is weird that the booking is coming in as "Tragically Hip".

I should get a chance to view the commercial Tuesday morning and will be able to see for myself. But in the meantime, thought I would see if anyone here has better intel.

Anyone know if there is something other than Secret Path hitting the stores over the next two weeks?

Could just be a promo of some of the back catalogue or a Man Machine Poem promo?

I'm assuming it's probably just a MMP/back catalogue promo thing. New vinyl pressings of the first three albums were just released on Friday. Unless of course the new album Gord talked about during his interview is already in the can?? Probably not. But I'd say anything is possible considering his time is limited.

No way is it a new Hip album. Not without any fanfare or leaked knowledge...

I just had a look at the spot, and it is promotingMan Machine Poem plus back catalog (available at Walmart).

The spot features Man Machine Poem, Yer Favourites, Fully Completely, and Up To Here.
