The double-entendre is quite intentional. Sometimes I listen to it and enjoy it (mostly) despite the production. Other times I listen to it and feel it's one of the Hip's worst cases of good songs being compromised by the recording process.

It so pains me to write those words but its true and I have to say it out loud. I am an absolute true diehard fan …over 30 concerts, love everything they have done, love Gord’s solo work… but this record is a tough one to swallow. I knew something was up as soon as the album cover was released… absolutely hate it… I look at it and see nothing but a cheap Nirvana rip off.
I do love the white vinyl and will continue to throw it on now and again because it looks cool … and maybe with time this record might find a place inside me . I hope so … I want it to. Hmmm maybe time for another listen…
