No Code on vinyl is going to be epic.

Very excited to be adding No Code and Yield to my vinyl collection!

Now, maybe a DfN and TatH vinyl announcement?

Ahh, Trouble at the Henhouse. The great white buffalo of vinyl. It would be awesome if they reissued that one.

Very Awesome. Its the only Hip album I am missing on vinyl that was issued as a vinyl.

Too bad they didn't tie that in with the 20th anniversary of TATH

direwolf74, despite my comment that 'nobody buys CDs any more,' I actually take the same approach as you: I buy the CD if it's put out by a small number of favoured artists whose work I prefer to have in physical format. This is partly because the 'hard' copy seems more real somehow, and also because, if I have a huge collection of an artist's CDs, I hate to break the collection by suddenly lurching to virtual formats. So, since I own every Hip album in CD format, I will also buy this one.

But I love your point about CDs containing 'bonus' material. E.g., if Downie or the band as a whole were to write a long essay about the album, its songs, etc., that would be an extra inducement to buy the hard copy. It's too bad more artists don't do that sort of thing...although I guess packaging costs are always an issue in this day and age.

People do still buy CD's and album covers still matter. Digital sales did overtake CD sales for the first time in 2015 however people still bought 56.6 million compact disks. That's 49% of music sales.
