Wow! I never thought this challenge would end with such controversy. Nice try Dana but I got to give it to chris. He had the first correct unedited ranking. Very funny stuff. Thanks for the laugh guys.

I wish I could say this list is 100% accurate but it's really just my best attempt using the setlists on thehip.com. The 16 songs are probably correct but the actual numbers and rankings are likely way off.

There are almost 150 concerts listed without a setlist. Most before 1997. I would then suspect that NOIS has actually been played closer to 900 times and songs like Poets and BobC are actually lower in the rankings.

The 4 songs that round out the Top 20 are Locked, In View, Escape and IAGLIYDW.

The Hip website has 1048 shows listed. This would put The Hip's 1000th sometime at the end of 2011. I calculated July 15, 2011 in Burnaby.
