silly thing that made me smile
#1

Hi all, just something cute that made me smile...
I went to Starbucks this afternoon since it is the *only* place to buy coffee on campus other than the dining halls (bleh) and they had put out the holiday cups and cardboard insulators, and the insulator that was on my cup said, " a cup of coffee to warm ten cold fingers"...almost needless to say it reminded me of the lyrics from Josephine (...trying to let that coffee cup warm your hands...) and made me smile. That's all from me for now...just wanted to share. Big Grin

Something that made me smile recently is when Cher was asked to comment on why she started and ended her tour in Toronto and she said "I love Toronto, it's great. The people are so wonderful, it's so unique, it feels like it's a whole different country."

 It actually took me a moment to realize why that comment is funny. Wow. Perhaps its past bedtime.

That reminds me of a Britney Spears quote I read somewhere sometime:

When asked about the perks of being famous she said something like.. "I get to go to a lot of overseas places, like Canada."

He sticks his foot in his mouth and wiggles his toes every time he opens his yap and makes me smile.

"A surplus means there'll be money left over. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a surplus."

Well duhhhhh. hehe.

There are so many dozens of great Bushisms, but one of my favourites is "Global warming is a very serious problem for us to cope with. I blame an increase in temperature."

The best political gaffe came from someone other than Bush. I think it might have been Dan Quayle...he was commenting on how his opponent had flipflopped on an issue and he said "But make no mistake, a zebra cannot change its spots!" Confusedcratch:
