Hi all,
Do any of you have any experience with adding a second dog to the family?
We have a 6 year old lab mix that we wanted a companion for. We adopted a mellow mix breed terrier last night for a trial basis. Mollie seemed sad whenever we left for work, lonely. Maybe she wasn't. No separation anxiety that we could tell. Just seemed lonely.
I am wondering about your experiences. Did it work out for you or do you wish you hadn't added another?
Any info/experience with this would be appreciated and helpful.

P.S. I realize all dogs behave differently..just looking for personal experience or knowledge.

well, i'm not too sure about adding a dog but i have two dogs that we got together when they were puppies. they are great together but they've lived with each other all of their lives.

my buddy on the other hand had 2 dogs, one died, so they bought another dog, and the older one hates the younger dog with a passion.

i guess it depends on the dog??
