I don't miss being a kid as much as I really miss being a university student. Being a kid was loads of fun, but I didn't have the money, or means, to really do what I wanted whenever I wanted.

University = student loans (or as I prefer, "FREE MONEY!")

But as far as chilhood memories go; my fondest are of playing baseball in the park down the street. It seemed so far away from my house, although it is less than a 5 minute walk.

Every day, without any phonecalls being made to arrange a game, we always just knew when to show up. And if someone was late, we played ManHunt, or Flags to pass the time.

I would love to be able to go back and re-live those days.

What I miss most is just not having to stress about things.

Sometimes I miss being a kid, espically on Christmas.
But overall so far I am enjoying my life more so then I ever had at this age. I think once I am older, I will probably look back and miss this age. :thumb: But then again hopefully the older I get the better my life will become, and I will have more things in my life to enjoy!

hum, lets see......I guess being a kid wasn't a too bad xperience for me,I never knew my dad so I never had the knowledge of knowing what areal father could provide for better or for worse. And yes I loved goin to the rink and gettin a game of shinny goin. I could have did without the racism I am many of my aboriginal friends went thru. Racism Sux :x But havin said that I met alot of great non aboriginal peoples as well. Life was a real trip. But back to the dad thing,I am really wanting so much as of the last 2 1/2 years to meet this man who helped in the creation of me. Whats the point you ask? My girlfriend told me we should all know our relations just in case my kids happen to meet his kids one fine spring day.I'd hate for that to happen and strange things have happened,it's too small of a world.I guess what I'm trying to say is life is short. When one thinks of the total expanse of time and what time means, our lifetimes are a mere half a blink of an eye when you think about how long the universe has been around,we don't have a any time to mess with this fragile existence we've been blessed with.I'm 30 now and already i feel like there's a billion things that need to be done before i shuffle of this mortal coil. Yes being a kid was ok, I try to think of how i can make my kids childhood kick mines in the ass. if i missed the point i apologize ,got a lot on the brain lately.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

That was beautiful Summiteer Cry

Being a kid was too hard I thought. I worred a lot as a kid whether I woul d be a successful adult, thinking things like "oh my god where will I get money for bills? how do you even pay bills, i can't even write yet?"...that kinda thing...very stressful. As an adult I don't worry at all about whether or not I'll be a sucessfull senior citizen  . I think the coolest thing about being a kid was the toys (agree with Angie :thumb: about XMas). They're just not as much fun to play with as an adult :?

Actually what I miss the most though is being bored! "what do you wanna do?", friend replies "I dunno. there's nothing TO do...". But as an adult I aspire to be that bored again...know what I mean? Life is funny.

I love being young! When I was a kid, I was forced to grow up way too fast. I remember being 10 and crying cause I still wanted to be 5. Those days were so fun. However, now I get to be a kid again!! It's so great. I work and stuff, but I have a very young mind and life!
