Not sure if this was mentioned before or not (hmmm...) but Canadian artists were nominated and then asked to write and record a song about a place in their home province or territory. Artists include Mr. Plaskett, Hey Rosetta! and Hawksley Workman.

I've been following it a bit. Nova Scotia definitely had the most loaded list of nominated artists.
