Tragically Hip Photo Exhibit
#31

Not sure if the bank book can afford another trip home before the holidays, but trust me -- it sure is tempting. For the photo exhibit and so many other reasons.

Cheers,

Bump for the weekend crowd. According to the Pikto web site, the gallery is open on Saturdays and Sundays.

I decided to wrap up a week of Hip stuff with the Richard Beland photo exhibit (finally had time to check it out). It was a lot smaller than what I expected. My favourite was definitely the two collages. I also recognized some of the pictures so it was nice to be able to put a name to the photographer behind it. I wonder if he'd ever publish a book or something with these pics?

I had the extreme pleasure of being able to meet Richard on Thursday before Toronto #4 (see how I worked that in???) and he said tha Maple Music will have available the prints that don't sell at the gallery. I would think you would see those once the exhibition is over with.

Thanks Sarah! Not even close to the level Richard is at but it would be a dream to be able to do something that like as a day job...

Does anyone have any personal photos of the gallery show that I could use for my web site and myspace page? I'd be sure to credit your name. I wasn't able to ever make it to the show unfortunately. A shot or two of the poster on display and a few candids would be great.

Thanks!

I believe the gallery show is still running until the 27th if you still want to try and get down there yourself...

Awesome! I think I remember seeing that when it actually aired, but it's awesome to see it again. I REALLY wish I could have gone but no one was willing to drive five hours to get there.

Is this the un-official Richard Beland thread?

I thought tihs would be an appropriate thread to pos this in. At the May 16th show at Massey Hall, I was lucky to get Gord D's mic. I was thinking that it would be really cool to create a display that has a pic of Gord with the actual mic in his hand with the mic displayed in front of it or something like that. My question is does anyone have any really good close up pics of Gord with the mic from that show?
MAv, were you at this show as I know you get some really amazing close up shots of the boys that you would be willing to share?
Thanks for your help! :thumb:
