Wasn't Higgins the one he WOULDN"T trade for Vinny?
I don't mind getting rid of Higgins but I think it is really fucking stupid that he traded McDonagh he's gonna be a really good Dman. Take McDonagh out of the trade and it's just ok, shit give them Suban instead and that would be better.
Komisarek will be gone tomorrow, they won't sign Kovalev right away so he might be pissed and leave.
So what does that leave? Gainey is going duel with Burke for the Sedins' so they'll get a huge payday and they Habs still won't be strong upfront and they lose all their muscle on D when Komisarek goes and they still don't have a puck moving defenceman for the PP.
This trade creates more holes for this team without really filling a need.
