Just thought some people would like to come discuss this show, I know we've got a few Plaskett fans on the base. Just wanna know who'll be forgoing the hip in Kingston and coming out to this. Any tapers? There's a woefully inadequate supply of JP live recordings widely available. Anyways, discuss the show and I thought everyone who's going or who would like to go might want to check out this.

Great show, I ended up sitting next to two casual hipbaser's (we're everywhere!) who said they went to a hip show in Amsterdam, followed by a trip to Hong Kong, and a flight to LA for another Hip show for their honeymoon. Pretty sweet. Anyways, Plaskett was in fine form tonight, Peter Elkas was amazing and Rose Cousins and Ana Egge were unbelievable. I scooped a set list.
Set One:
1.Happen Now (full acoustic Band)
2.Deny Deny Deny (Full acoustic Band)
3.Pine Pine Pine (Full acoustic Band)
4.Blue Moonlight (ana on drums, rose on keys)
5.Farmer's Daughter (Ana vocal)
6.Nothing More To Say To You (Joel and Bill acoustic)
7.Heartless Heartless Heartless (Joel and Bill acoustic)
8.Rewind Rewind Rewind (Joel on keys)
9.Awesome Valley (Rose vocal, Joel on drums)
10.Rolling Rolling Rolling (Full acoustic band)
Set Two: (With the Emergency)
11.Work Out Fine
12.Extraordinary (Elkas and the girls joined at the end)
13.Through and through and through (with Elkas and the girls)
14.Gone Gone Gone
15.Sailor Eyes
16.You Let Me Down
17/18/19.Ashtray Rock/Precious Precious Precious/Run Run Run (all segwaying into one another)
20.True Patriot Love (solo acoustic)
21.Spinning Spinning Spinning (Solo acoustic)
22.Nowhere With You (Solo Acoustic)
23.Lazy Bones (solo acoustic, the girls and the rest of the band entered halfway through)
24.Million Dollars
25.Wishful Thinking
Encore:
26.Everytime You Leave (It says request on the setlist)
27.Love This Town (Solo Joel Acoustic, Sang without a mic, crowd singing most of the song)
28.Fashionable People (Joel on Drums)
29.On and On and On
Crowd was pretty good, me and my buddy got everyone standing towards the start of the second set, then people started sitting down and we got asked to sit. I did for two songs but couldn't take it any more and stood. By the end the whole place was on it's feet. Nice innitiaton for Joel into Massey Hall.

^ You summed it up pretty nicely so I won't add much. Joel is one hell of a showman. I took a ton of pictures but I probably won't have a chance to process them for a few weeks, but in the meantime here's a couple video clips. Not great quality but they're watchable.

I look forward to seeing those pics Grimes! Were you over in that mass of people standing on LSF? My buddy and I were the lone two standing on RSF. I talked to the sound guy at the back after the show about a camera that was set up recording the show and he mentioned that Joel records his shows and likes to put some of it up on you tube so keep an eye out for that.

Yeah I was in the first row LCF, we were on our feet for pretty well the whole second set. There was a group of girls directly behind us that were quite into it - they seemed to know all the words to every song - and when people started sitting back down a few songs in they were telling everyone to stay standing, so we happily obliged.
