Terrarium is a great song (love the banjo) but Gems is, I think, the most important 2 minutes on Road Apples because it hints at the band the Hip would become starting with FC. It foreshadows both FC and DFN, with a little TATH thrown in for good measure. A lot in just one 2-minute throwaway song.

Completely agree, Gems is absolutely magical. That touch of Henhouse, is what makes this song so special, to me.
