Hey,

I found myself bored the other day when it was raining and decided to start to compile a list of Hip concerts, shows, or small set lists, but only those ones that were benefit shows or from special events etc. such as like Woodstock, 2002 Olympics, SNL, Tsunami Relief, Live 8, Grey Cup.....and it goes on and on and on.....

Here's what I have so far. I'm sure I'm missing some. I've started this list from 1995 to present. I don't know if it's been done already, but it would be cool to have these compiled together on DVD's.

Anyone know of any special shows I'm missing???

P.S. Getting jacked for Texas in October and looking forward to a potenial New Year's show too! And for all of you lucky kids going to see the boys in Europe, have a great time!!!

Forgive me if this has been discussed before because I'm sure it has, but I pulled out the Toronto Rocks SARS Concert DVD the other night and I was just really curious as to why The Hip were not on the bill. I wasn't a Hip fan yet in 2003 so does anyone have any insight?

RIM Christmas Party at the Air Canada Centre.

Valente: As to why they're not on the DVD - The Hip weren't at the Toronto Rocks (Downsview) concert. The Hip played an event that was at the ACC and SkyDome, and I don't know of a DVD from that event.

I guess when they opened for the Stones in moncton (2005-09-03) would fall into the "Other Shwos Not Related To Tours" category.

A few days before the I&I at MuchMusic in 2000, they did a very similar show at MusiquePlus in Montreal. I have that show on videotape at home somewhere.

Also the Oct 23, 2004 at the Capitol Theatre in Ottawa was a "win to get in anniversary show" to celebrate the 10-year anniversary for a local radio station. I won tickets and it was a great show.

they played a great show in 2003 at the boot in whistler two night benifits for the family of 3 whistlernites (??) killed in a flashflood

They also played for a Greg Moore memorial

After the gold medal in salt lake city

a Blackberry party at the acc last year

those are the ones off the top of my head

they did 2 nights in London at centenial hall for the much music thing... it was on the camp trillum tour... i remeber waiting in line in the park all night to get tickets.... i was lucky enough to get into the show that ended up on tv... was one of the best nights seeing the hip in my experiances....
