Anyone remember this band when they were opening for the HIP, (2000 era-I think)
They're opening for Sam Robert's here in Kingston on Monday at AJ's.

ya I remember those guys. I bought a couple of thier albums. Good stuff. Havn't heard anything from them in awhile though, I'm sure they're still entertaining. :thumb:

I wonder if they're opening for him here in Calgary? Might have to check out the show. I've seen Sam 3 or 4 times in the last little bit so I wasn't planning on going, but I wouldn't mind seeing those guys.

I saw them open for The Hip at Darien Lake in 1999/2000 and they were great. There are lots of great boots available foor download through etree if you want to get a better feel for their live show.

I'll be there for the Sam/Guster show in Toronto at Kool Haus on Oct 18! Big Grin

I like the band, though i prefer their Parachute through Goldfly albums, their new one sounds a little too poppy, but it's still good. Hopefully they havent given up on the bongo's for touring Big Grin

I remember Guster for one thing. When I was at Bolton Valley Vermont for a Hip concert in 2000, after Guster went off the stage tons of people left and us hip fans were able to get right to the front. Big Grin

Yeah I also went to the Bolton Valley show in VT 2000. I've heard of Guster before the show and wasn't to impressed with them. Soon as I saw them live I totally changed my tune Big Grin They put on one hell of a show. Thier drummer bongo player was absolutly awsome. Also the lead singer before they started the show told the crowd to drink canadian beer instead of the watered down american beer. Which is so so true. Go Hip! Big Grin

Just got in from the Sam & Guster show at Kool Haus in Toronto, and all I can say is "WOW!!!!"

Both bands totally kicked ass. If you get a chance to see these guys, go. You will not be disappointed.

Sam definitely rocked the house; but it's too bad you missed Guster. Great songs, awesome harmonies, a monkey-armed bongo player, what more could you ask for!
