Alright, I know all of you have heard the various versions of Joesephine and Ballroom. BUt I need to tell you all how great these songs are! These are completely unpolished songs that Gord and the boys were just trying out. I cannot wait to see or how these evolved in the studio. And to hear these tunes sans-distortion will be even more amazing. April is too far away.

I heard That.....
I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!
I just read the lyrics and I'm debating with dyersbay over whether or not Ballroom is about an affair Gord had, his wife had an affair or if he just worries about an affair.

What I got out of it was worrying about an affair, like most married men do rationally or irrationally.
I was like that for three days when my ex-husband went on a trip with his friends, ironically Toronto, I can see where Gord is coming from if that's the case.
Ballroom
.....they sing war is praises
yea lets stop writing things down
its time to forget about who you are now
nevermind who's kissing her, or who's behind her cloud
its time to drown all this poetry out
somehow
we've gone to far
and maybe we tried to hard
somehow
go to far
and maybe we tried so hard
i feel like i'm the same?
i sleep on the train
shoot straight lines thru shadows- for you
g where the future lies
under the moon and night
to a ballroom hang out - for you
to a ballroom hang out -
a ballroom hang out for 2
there's no deserting the pen....

I know we did this with Joe..But does anyone want to take a stab at ballroom? I always find it interesting to see how many different point of views can come out of the same song. Mark, Comeon your good at these things!
