This will be an absolute shit-show....the Heritage Festival is one of the biggest pissups in Canada. Throw a Hip show smack dab in the middle of a town of drunken hickish North Bay-ites and that is a recipe for disaster if I have ever heard one.

To anyone that goes...bring your helmets.

If they are anything like most Island concert goers, I think your advice about avoiding them is very smart.

I had noticed this one and another Quebec show up on thehip.com a few weeks ago and also noticed that they were removed like a few hours or a day later.

I have no real basis or information for this speculation but I see that Kingston's mayor will announce a fund-raising concert for the new arena on Monday morning. Does anyone think the Hip will somehow be involved? Rob Baker has been a huge backer of this project. In fact I think that a councillor opposing the project challenged Rob to stand up and pitch in for its construction.

Just thought I thought I would throw that out there and see what everyone thought. I am not sure where they would play. Another Across the Causeway seems like it would be way too much to co-ordinate again.

Have a great weekend,

MK

So now it's St John's, Sydney, Halifax, Char'town, & Freddy Beach. I'm starting to take the Saint John snub personally!
