In the US (and I think worldwide) 420 is a kind of stoner code for "the time to have a session." If there is any possible way to make up an excuse to have a puff, look at the clock when it's 4:19. In the US one can always find concert festivals (hippie type - usually not hip type) and raves on the date April 20th. At these 420 Celebrations, everyone knows the drill and comes prepared to share and party. On a related side note, in the movie PULP FICTION, every clock throughout the movie reads "4:20".

So, I had just returned from a refreshing get together with some friends and decided to log on to see what other mates and missies had to say. As I did, I noticed that there were 420 topics posted about The Hip, whose fan club name, THC, first appeared on rolling papers (THC is the psychoactive ingredient in marujuana).

I just had to comment.

i also noticed that in a couple of simpsons episodes, 4:20 is on their clocks
