I think the voting time is over...
Which means we have our first tie!

[tigerthelion]

Hey, I could break that tie if I could vote. I know which song I'd choose. :rambo:

[BIGVDOGG]

i thought polls usually close appx 7:00et

[ikky99]

Someone vote for Family Band QUICK!!!!!

[Hard Canadian]

are the polls closed or what? cuz i know for a fact that i didn't vote but it won;t let me vote now so they must be closed.

[Shane Kroeker]

Polls are closed and this is our first official tie. This means the both of these songs will advance to the next round, and a three-way vote will occur next round. Remember, polls always close 24 hours after I post the match up... be sure to check the time stamp on my opening posts, to know how much time remains.

[Hard Canadian]

God dammit! i waited too long to vote, i could have had the deciding vote. i was going to vote for......

don't wake daddy, if that counts for anything.

[Bosman]

It should! Screw Family Band!

[Joe]

It should! Screw Family Band!

I bet a lot of people were confused by the butterfly ballot and picked DWD when, of course, they meant to pick Family Band. Can't we let the US Supreme Court sort this out?

[Sohi]

didn't know it would be this close...

Wouldn't this pretty much guarantee that whatever song these two are pitted against is going to come right up the middle?

I think we need an electoral reform commission to study this problem and put forward solutions as a referendum question on the next match-up poll, and phrase them in a way which is guaranteed to colour the way people vote. (e.g. "Since the way we elect governments in Ontario is so screwed up, don't you think it would be better if we introduced a system of mixed member proportional representation, which we've spent a lot of time and money working on and is super-duper? C'mon, doesn't that make sense?")

If I'm the only one paying attention to electoral reform in Ontario and/or thinks this is a witty comment, please just ignore me.

On topic: I think that both DWD and Family Band are going to get creamed in the next round, because they will continue to split the vote amongst themselves.
