yup

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Hey Bauer, neat topic...read it awhile ago but forgot to reply...

In an old addition of "Tales from the Hip", the band lists a number of bands that they had toured with that year, including:

Grinspoon
Pretty Mighty Mighty
Mystery Machine
Slim Dunlap

Not sure how many dates...but they're on the list!

Also, they list Julie Doiron and The Wooden Spoon.

I can think of a couple...

I do believe The Hip have opened for Rush a time or two, correct? Also, when they played St. Louis last ( 12/98 ), a local band called Colony opened for them.

What an amazing album, i.e. the self-titled Sons of Freedom, especially the song "The Criminal"

This is one of those "used to have it on tape back in the day and have no idea where it is now". I'm going to have to find a replacement. I completely forgot about it.

thanks!

we could include all the bands from woodstock 99 or would that be stretching it a little bit too far?

...and how about all the bands in Live8. And I'm not just talking about acts from the Barrie show... Geldolf described it as "One global concert" .
