Wheat Kings Intro Question
#1

In Cleveland, Gord introduced Wheat Kings as follows:

"This is a song about a guy who serves 23 years for a crime he didn't commit. That's why we don't have the death penalty, because the justice system, like human beings, is infallible. This is Wheat Kings. Did I say infallible? I meant fallible."

You may think my question dumb- but do you think Gord mispoke intentionally to prove his "human beings are fallible" remark or was it an honest mistake? Has anyone heard him use this same intro for Wheat Kings?

Anyway, I love this song.

It's not a mistake, he did it on purpose. He's putting emphasis that the justice system is quite capable of making errors (the definition of fallible). Even though Millgard was not put to death, he lost 20+ years of his life in jail...therefore, the system was wrong. The system may think it's infallible (just like some humans always think they're right), when really it's not.

Every time I see you make a post I think I made a post which I completely forgot about.

What ever happened to the hip web ring anyways?
