Just saw this yesterday. What an incredible film. Flawless direction, wonderful script, and superb acting all around. I've always loved movies that stay with you long after they're over, and this is one of those movies. Clint does it again. Two thumbs up.

now that this is on dvd and more ppl have obviously saw it i just wanted to reopen this thread.

The movie was totally different from what i expected, but without the twist i'd guess it would have never won an oscar. I cant believe it only took 38 days to film this masterpiece, with no working OT.

Whats your thoughts on the flick?

I just watched it on DVD as well, and after seeing it a second time I think I appreciate it even more. The dialogue is beautifully written, and the chemistry between Eastwood and Freeman is probably the heart of the film. Hilary Swank does a great job as well. Even if it didn't have the big twist, I think this movie would've won oscars just for the script and the acting alone.

It was my favorite movie of last year, I saw it twice in theatres and gained appreciation for it the second time.

And of course, you can go wrong with Morgan Freeman doing the narration.

Great movie. Incredible acting. It's a movie that makes the viewer feel something while watching it. I found Freeman and Eastwood hysterical as two grumpy old boxing guys. The scene where Freeman fights the young boxer in the gym is a bit cheesy but it's all good. Overall, a great movie. I'll take a movie like this one over the action, sci fi stuff any day. I won't see War of the Worlds or Batman or Fantastic Four because I gain nothing by watching them. It's all special effects. I want a story. I want acting. I don't want Star Wars either.

Although I enjoy a good summer popcorn flick, I definitely agree with you. However, Batman Begins doesn't belong on a list with Fantastic Four and War of the Worlds. You want story and acting? That movie has loads of it. Christian Bale, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, and Michael Cain are all fantastic in their roles, and the story and dialogue are top notch. And to top it all off, you've got Christopher Nolan in the director's chair. This flick is miles above your typical summer blockbuster.

I mean, I liked "Jerry Maguire" and "Collateral" (except for the big shootout scene) so I don't mind Tom Cruise as an actor. I just don't have an interest in watching things get blown up everywhere in some big catastrophe. The last two great movies I've seen have been "Road to Perdition" and "Million Dollar Baby".

I was quite surprised at the story and acting in Batman Begins. I really enjoyed it, not just for the blowing stuff up, but the story go tme as well...it was so dark and moody...I thought it was a great movie.

as for million dollar baby, I thought it was the best movie i saw last year! the twist totally took me by surprise, I thought it was gonna be a rocky- but with a woman type- movie, totally shocked me!

Watched Million Dollar Baby last night. Excellent movie. Saw Batman Begins in IMAX a couple nights ago. THEE BEST Batman (movie and the guy who played Batman) of them all.
