A stand-up guy, a gentleman, the centrepiece of the most exciting political moment in a decade.

Looking back on when he returned to the H of C, he must of been really sick.

Its sad to see him go. He was stand up guy. MPs could learn alot from him.

Quite a shock to say the least. One can only estimate his heart and personal resolve in looking at the sacrifices he made for his country.

Looking back on when he returned to the H of C, he must of been really sick.

That's why this was such a shock to me: he looked good on the hill. His manner with us pack animals was always great, but that day; and given the circumstances and attention afforded him, he could have been anything but: he was even nicer than usual.

Just really depressing that you can go from his confident gum-chewing, government-saving, wise-cracking self, to gone in a matter of weeks.

I remember hearing as a kid how cancer would be beaten by the year 2000, how medical science was making incredible strides. And yet here we are: robots on Mars, billions poured into an impotence cure, and yet cancer's still rolling over us.

It's just frustrating that it keeps taking.

I agree, Stephen... I have similar frustrations about cancer, as I have an uncle who is even younger than Mr. Cadman who is fighting a losing battle with cancer. So sad that people so young and vibrant should be taken away because of this damned disease.

Even though he made a decision I didn't agree with during that non-confidence vote, I respect the process and beliefs he stuck to in making it. Canada lost a principled politician, and it's a shame because we have few of them as it is.

RIP, Mr. Cadman, and let's pray for his family at this dark time.

My little sister, ten years my junior at 25, recently lost one of her high-school schoolmates, and a close friend, to cancer.

That, to me, seems profoundly unfair. But life, I guess, is profoundly unfair.

"All these moments, lost in time, like tears in the rain."
