limited print of in violet light art...........
#1

back when "In Violet Light" was released The Hip Club or the Hip's official site sent out an e-mail offering a limited edition print of the painting that was the cover of IVL. these were numbered and signed by Rob Baker. i'm not sure on what they cost or the number offered. but i THINK they were about 125 dollars. i hesitated a few hours and by the time i went to buy it they were sold out.
well, this evening as i walked thru my local cd shop i notice on the wall a IVL print that is signed by rob baker and numbered 201/300.
i'm wondering if any Hipbasers were lucky enough to get one back when they were offered and how many of those were printed. i'm not sure if the one i bought is from that deal or a different one.
the clerk wasn't sure of the cost but i walked out of the store with a big smile on my face because i got it for 7 dollars. :thumb:

anyone have any info i'd appreciate it.

OMG! You are a lucky man! I did the same thing, at the time I didn't have the money to buy one. I still kick myself.

Here is some info

Code:
Selling Art To Save Canada’s Boreal Forest
The watercolour image used on the cover of the band’s recent In Violet Light album was painted by guitarist Bobby Baker. Now, 114 of 300 original lithographs (prints) of the album cover are on for sale to the public for the bargain price of $110 each. Each 26" x 10" print is signed by Baker and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The proceeds will go to the Canadian Parks And Wilderness Society (CPAWS) — specifically, their Boreal Forest Awareness Campaign, which aims to protect one of the largest and "most important" forest ecosystems in the world. The Canadian forest stretches from coast to coast and is endangered by resource "development activities," such as oil drilling, logging and mining.

I need 2 Kingston Tickets, please help.
