there was an incedent in the parking lot a few years ago, but nothing since. "The big brawl" was due to some kid hitting a power box and causing a complete blackout in a crowed bar 12am on a Saturday night.
After 200 drunks all hit the parking lot at the same time, 15 police units showed up to help with crowd control, pretty much telling everyone to drive home, no matter if they were drunk or not hock:

What sticks out in my head the most was the mention of a few of the guys wielding machettes. I don't know about you, but when I leave for a night out I have never pondered, "Hmm, should I bring the machette, or leave it at home?"

My pal works there, which means I'm there pretty much every Friday for a few beers, and although the lame ass name that tune guy sometimes makes me violent, it's a pretty decent watering hole. Too bad for two remote incedents that stick in people's heads that can ruin the rep of a decent pub.

Might hit the bar in the Dome before the show, if this Plaskett fella isn't worth rushing in for.

Speaking about violence at Calgary Pubs, do you remember hearing about the bar owner who was shot to death this past January in his own pub? It was a new place called "Schuckaluks" and the owner was a real good friend of mine...I even went to Stage 13 in Camrose a few years ago with him to see the Hip.

It's getting just brutal with all the knifings and shootings here.
