If I'm not mistaken, isn't that from Gord Downie's solo album? I thought so, haven't heard it in a while, but I remember reading the poem in the book.

No it's not on the album...he played it live somewhere. The date I came across was (05-10-01 Webcast). Anyone have any other info on this?

I saw aGord perform "we're hardcore" at the Calgary Folk fest with the Dinner is Ruined.
I'm not positive but I think I also saw him play it at the bread basket show in Toronto.

gord played 'we're hardcore' with julie and DIR in cambridge at tt the bear's last summer ('01). i have video of the most of the show and it was dynamite. two great neil young covers and an insomniacs that knocked us all out... the audio is also available online while i labor away at trying to convert my sound recording to cd...
