I've been recently recalling bits and pieces of a memory, maybe the faint gust of memory, maybe less than that. I heard something on the radio. It was like 1999 or 2000. It was a version of Ahead By A Century that was like, infused or something, with bits of other recordings like from news stories. I'm not sure about it. I only heard it the one time and I actually remembered it in a dream; I was playing ABAC in the dream (maybe) and one part was playing and it flicked and a woman's voice was all upset and talking about a disaster or something.
When I woke up, I had the vague recollection of hearing this song in Greenwood, NS in 99 or 00 on the radio (but my life around this time is ultrafoggy, lol) So, the question; is there a remix of ABAC somewhere out there "infused" with little clips of real-life events? Or was this some local radio station creation?
I apologize now if this is a stupid question.

Can't help you at all with that, never heard tell of it. But what were you doing in Greenwood? I'm proud/ashamed to say I crashed a glider there once. "Memmmmmorieeeeees......"

I lived in Greenwood for the first six months of my life. My dad was in the air force. Probably same reason you were there Stu. Visited it again a couple years ago. No memories, obviously. But, it was cool to travel out east and see where I was born. Halifax is like my favourite city!! Just incredible!!

Hey LB... After reading your post, I vaguely remember a version of ABAC like that. I remember thinking it was just a local radio thing, recalling events of the century as we were closing in on Y2K, and the song seemed fitting.
It's not in my collection, but I'll do some searching today. :thumb:

I believe it was on Q104 (the rock of the Atlantic!) for Y2K. I remember hearing it when I was home for the holidays in '99.

Maybe we can get this somewhere?... Put it on the hundredthmeridian?... I'd like to hear it again, add it to my collection of tunes. I just remembered, like I said above, about this... ABAC remix. I thought maybe it was on that Canadian millenium box-set thing but I guess it's a Q104 creation. I think it belongs in the catalogue somewhere. The multitude of Hip songs. I wonder how one would go about getting it though.... call up Q104?

Although Q104 may have played it, I heard in in Toronto on a different station. I suppose it's worth a shot to call the program director at your local stations; as this definitely belongs in circulation with the fans.
