How do you play the hip?
#16

I have formed a Hip tribute band called Hip Tracer, ("I can draw but I can't trace") we have yet to play a show yet but are waiting for confirmation on August 11. We live in the states, about 20 minutes from the border and hope to book gigs in canada in the future. We are also looking for an interim drummer because ours is leaving for college in the fall. We are in northwest washington so if there is anyone out there willing to come work with us, contact me.

I've been fooling around with some of thier funner stuff (fireworks, NOIS, An Inch An Hour ect.) But my personal favorties would definatly be things like 38 years old. They make people REMEMBER the band.

If you want to cover some hip tunes, your best bet would probally getting together with people who've already got the hang of it, or if you're confidant enough, search out some of thier music online or sheet. It's a great way to kick off.

yeah i usually play 'when the weight comes down' it's just sounds so good on it's on as a guitar riff

wheat kings is a fun acoustic song, i did 'locked' on stage in calgary w/ old friend a few years ago (grew up w/ guitar player) www.bangithard.com

i've been wanting to jam nautical disaster w/ my drummer friend but we always get lost along the way w/ no vocals, ah well good times :thumb:
