Vinyl Boxset
#16

For that price they should hand deliver to your house just like Gene Simmons is doing if you buy his box set. (Although his pricing is slightly higher)

I bought it mainly because I want the poster, which I'd price at $30, and the slip mat at $20-$30.

This is how I rationalize things.

Wow, $90 is a bit steep...but I am a sucker for Box Sets...

Hell, I just bought Pearl Jams Storage box for their albums and it was only $45USD....

Not as cool looking though.

I only really want the slip mat. The box is cool and all. The poster would probably sit in a drawer right now as I would have no where to put it

Is that for CDs or vinyl?

Curious because Binaural and Riot Act are so rare.... theyre in need of some reissues there.

Excited for these so I can finish my PJ vinyl collection. They did post an update that Brendan O'Brien has only remixed Avocado but all three have been remastered for vinyl (also by O'Brien).

Yeah Sean Tongue

Haha it is for vinyl. Both the vinyl box set with all studio albums (limited to 500) and just the vinyl storage box is now sold out and taken down from the site. They didn't last long at all..

***Pearl Jam too! How could I forget about Avocado

Wow. That box set is truly next-level. Happy for the fans that purchase it, and not only because of their disposable income. Or perhaps its reckless abuse of credit?

I finally checked out order #5236xx on thehip.com just now, also for the poster. I am hoping to unload the slipmat to gsmacleod around that price or maybe sell/trade with another hipbaser to rationalize it.

Without the poster it would have been easier to pass on, as I view the box as just a box with Man Machine Poem font. Doubt I'll stuff my vinyl into it. They could have lured me in quicker (or charged me more) with different typography or classic hip images on the outside, or photos, anecdotes, liner notes, etc. on the inside. As far as career-spanning boxsets go, I think most collectors would agree they've left a lot on the table, perhaps intentionally. Either because they are a "no frills" rock band, or maybe something bigger is coming down the pipline eventually: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18855&start=120#p250431 ... On the bright side, at least they are selling seperately, I would have hated to spend $500 and needed to resell the vinyl individually just to get the poster

Damn Scott! I REALLY wanted to box and slipmat and don't give a sh*t about the poster. I would have made a deal to sell you mine.

We are a perfect match!
I could rationalize the box for the balance, but suspect you won't want to part with it once you have it.
PM me if interested.
