To add to Heron's thread from Thursday, anyone care to chime in on their favourite preview tracks?

After about a hundred listens to the mp3 I made, my favourites are (in order);

1. One Night In Copenhagen
2. As Makeshift As We Are
3. You Are Everywhere
(close 4th - Mean Streak)

I like nine of the tracks while the other four will take some getting used to (Gus: The Polar Bear From Central Park, If New Orleans Is Beat, The Heart Of The Melt, & Are We Family)

[kari]

1. Heaven Is A Better Place Today
2. The Heart Of The Melt
3. Vaccination Scar

[Kim]

Goodnight Josephine
Mean Streak
Vaccination Scar

not in any particular order..its hard judging the 30 second previews..i'm sure my preferences will change once i've heard the complete tunes.

Of the unreleased stuff:

Family
Gus

Of the stuff that is not out yet

Gus The Polar Bear, sounds like Ohio by CSNY to me. So natually I'm going to love it

Can't be nashville every night, sounds like a good angle to the story and nice little tune and sounds like it has a great hook.

Mean Streak, like how Gord used the SARS rant "you swear you swear we've never seen a stranger around here"

You're everywhere, formerly known as "ballroom" sounds much better than the awful live version I have. I almost didn't recognize it.

Goodnight Josephine, sounds like it's going to be a good song and like "ballroom" it's much better than the live boot I have

I will of course have to hear the full album to really tell what I like because I really didn't like VS when I first heard it, from the snippet on the site, and with the three songs off the album all ready, I kinda had my doubts about this album but now I CAN'T WAIT!!

i dont really like the final version of you're everywhere. from the 30 seconds i have heard, i have to say that i prefer the edgefest version.
