Perhaps Canadian humour is different to British but if I was Gord and someone dressed up as me for Halloween, I'd be mortified.

I couldn't tell you where the humour differs, but I can tell you that this is absolute gold. The timing is perfect (MMP Gord, which already feels like a throwback, rather than jean jacket Secret Path Gord), the choice of outfit is perfect (the Jaws shirt on a little kid, rather than just the shiny suit), and the attention to detail is perfect (sock neckerchief).

Sure, the little kid is primarily a pawn in this, but the parents' hearts are in entirely the right place. At that age, you are always picking your kid's costume for them anyway.

Full marks!

This costume is amazing. Big props to mom and dad! I love how MMP Gord is now an iconic look and is instantly recognizable to millions of Canadians. I dressed my kids up as We are the Same Gord a few years ago and it didn't go over nearly as well... Smile

Someone on Twitter suggested kids should dress up as the other Hip members too. Rob Baker replied,
"I've had my share of lil 'Bobby Bakers' trick or treating here."

Certainly the guardian's motivation is genuine, but struggling to find the feel good in these photos.

Well, we've raised a bit for Sunnybrook, so there's that. Not sure posting info here is kosher.. I'm a terrible fundraiser. No wonder I always fail at raising funds for Relay for Life, afraid to ask people

Yeah you've got a lot of nerve telling us about raising money for a charity started by the band that the forum is about!

In that case.. give us money! At this point it's kinda sad and Sunnybrook wants us to present in person so we were hoping for at least $500. That isn't going to happen, haha. He had a couple follow-up pieces on Global Toronto and CKWS which was awesome (here's CKWS' first piece). Going from first billing on CKWS to second-last segment of the evening was a kick in the pants!
