Oh my! Hopefully this means a tour announcement by the end of the week!

Ahh, the Fillmore. By far the coolest indoor concert venue I've ever been to. Saw the Hip on back-to-back nights there on the '09 tour. Incredible.

Hoping for a Nashville date some time between November 7th and 10th. Presenting at my first conference, it'd be a nice cap if I got to include my first out of country Hip show.

How the hell do they cover their costs with those cheap prices?

People being shocked at how much lower Tragically Hip ticket prices are in the U.S. never fails to amuse me.

(Hint: it's because nobody knows who the hell they are down here)

That's what I've been figuring, that a fall tour schedule will be coming out before we know it...probably later today or tomorrow at the latest...

I'm really hoping they play the Troubadour in L.A. and perhaps a show in San Diego. Never been out west and I hear the Troubadour is really cool.

They're also playing smaller venues down there; clubs and theaters mostly. Not to mention they travel with a much smaller stage set-up, sound/lighting rig, etc... If it's a club, bands will often just use the house PA and lighting.

Seeing them at The Vogue in Indy back in 2007 was amazing. 400 people. Awesome venue. Love seeing them in the States.
