I'm not even a Rush fan, but this movie looks awesome. I'll be seeing it for sure.

It's only playing for 2 shows on one night in toronto. Talk about "Limited Engagement." I might just wait till this comes to dvd and the end of june. Although i have a feeling the boys will show up to the Toronto showing.

Really good film with loads of great archive footage; excellent interviews with all three of the band, collaborators and musical contemporaries. And it's been put together in a way that it should appeal to people other than Rush geeks like me. Fun to recognise some of the Brit Rush internet crew giving it loads at the front of the recent shows in the footage of the crowds. Top stuff, and a great homage to this amazing band - well worth a look. :thumb:

Like any band doc. it should be able to be seen by anyone who's not a fan of the band. That being said I am a HUGE rush fan so my opionion on that woun't help. I really enjoyed it though. The only complaint I really have is they relied too much on the band videos for background or filler. Since I've seen them all "x" number of times over the years I was let down by that but again it's not just for "me" it's for those that may not know the band.

Bought it on Blu-Ray over the weekend and have watched it twice so far. I thought it was very well done, great to see them getting their deserved accolades from other musicians such as Les Claypool, Kirk Hammett, Tim Commerford, etc.
I have to say, I think my favourite part was in the special features called "Rush Trekkies" where they interview two Canadian kids........kind of a cross between Fubar and The Trailer Park Boys.....prettty comical.
The "Dinner with Rush" was great as well

Great documentary! I loved it, and I don't even particularly like Rush's music. I do like a few of their songs and I tried to get into them a few times, but I just never got it. The majority of their music just isn't for me. Anyways, I've always had a huge amount of respect for them and I really admire them for their character and perseverance. I thought the film did a great job of highlighting how cool these guys are as people, and how strong their friendship is. All three of them seem to be incredibly humble and down to earth guys. I'd love to have a beer with them sometime and just shoot the shit.
